Chi-Hua Wang, Ph.D.

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), working with Professor Guang Cheng (Stats) in the Trustworthy AI Lab.
My current research focuses on Synthetic Data Generation and its applications in the Healthcare industry. In particular, I worked on trustworthy synthetic data generation, by developing auditing framework to evaluate fidelity, utility and privacy of synthetic dataset.
Previously, I worked on the statistical design of sequential decision-making algorithms, including online statistical machine learning, bandit algorithms, and high-dimensional online decision makings.
I received my Ph.D. in Statistics in 2022 from Purdue University, West Lafayette, advised by Professor Guang Cheng. I received M.S. in Applied Mathematics from the Institute of Applied Mathematical Sciences (iAMS) and B.S. in Mathematics, both from National Taiwan University. Previously, I worked with Professor Chin-Tsang Chiang on survival analysis, and with Dr. Henghsiu Tsai on time series modeling.
